FAQs

How do I know if my pet is in pain?

To find out more about determining your pet’s level of suffering, we ask you to visit our quality of life page.

How do I know if the time is right for euthanasia?
Probably one of the trickiest questions to respond to is this one. You are your pet’s best judge of their current quality of life because you are their owner. However, we provide a variety of tools and services that could be useful in assisting you as you navigate the timing issue.
Will my pet feel anxiety or pain during euthanasia?

Prior to the euthanasia injection, our vet will gently but effectively sedate your pet. This means that before the euthanasia injection is given, your beloved pet will be dozing off in a deep, tranquil, pain-free, and unresponsive sleep. See our In-Home Pet Euthanasia page for more information and specifics.

Can I bury my animal companion?
The rules and laws governing home burials can vary by county. Although we are glad to let you honor your loved one in the manner of your choice, we ask that you first verify with and abide by any HOA and/or landlord agreements as well as your local county laws.
